Tranmere Rovers have confirmed that their pre-season friendly against Evo-Stik League club Ashton United has been postponed.
The National League club announced the decision on Monday afternoon and cited a number of injuries as the reason for the postponement of the fixture.
A Rovers statement read “This Saturday’s scheduled pre-season friendly against Ashton United has been cancelled.
It had been planned for a young side to be fielded at Hurst Cross, but due to a number of injuries, the game will no longer take place.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused to supporters of both clubs”
