Tranmere Rovers keeper Scott Davies says Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Fleetwood Town has a little added spice with it being his former club.
The goalkeeper arrived at Prenton Park in the summer of 2015 from the Highbury Stadium and the shot-stopper says that the Lancashire club is one he still holds close to his heart.
He told tranmererovers.co.uk: “Fleetwood Town are one of the teams I always look out for and see how they’re doing.
“I have great memories from my time there and we had a lot of success. We won a couple of promotions and from a personal point of view, I captained the club at one point so I enjoyed my time there.
“I look back on my time there fondly, I get on with their chairman and a lot of the staff are still there so it will be a great occasion for myself and the other lads who played there as well (Andy Mangan, Stephen McNulty, Jeff Hughes and Micky Mellon) to come up against them so I’m looking forward to it.”
