Defender Lee Vaughan says that despite a late defeat by Wrexham on Saturday, Tranmere Rovers still have a chance of making the play-offs.

Disappointed by Saturday’s result, Vaughan says they now need to focus on getting two trfcwins from the remaining games to give themselves a chance of finishing in the top five.

He told Tranmere Player: “We’re devastated. It’s another opportunity missed. We’re by no means out of it but at the moment there is a feeling of disappointment.

“We really took the game to them in the second half and deserved the penalty and the goal but unfortunately we let ourselves down from a set piece.

“We’ve been punished for two mistakes and take no points from the game which is very disappointing.

“It’s not all over, we have two games to go and if we win both games then I think we still have a right chance of getting into the play-offs.”
