Tranmere Rovers are heading into a massively important week, with two play-off fixtures against Aldershot Town.

The away leg comes first on Wednesday evening (7:00pm) with the home fixture at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon (12:15pm).trfc

Manager Micky Mellon praised the squad for the season they have had, totting up a Club record 95 points, but says that is behind them and all focus is now on to the play-offs.

He said: “It has been a brilliant season but the league season is done now and we go into a cup competition which were all really looking forward to.

“Aldershot will find it difficult against us. We’ve got a good team and we’ll concentrate on ourselves and delivering on what we do.

“We’ll be prepared, we know what’s at stake and we’re ready to get it on now.

“We wanted to win the league, we fell a little bit short but we go into the next best things is the play-offs.

“I love them, it’s where you’ll find out a lot about yourself as a manager and a coaching staff.

“It will be exciting, there will be good crowds at both games so were good to go and ready for it.”
