Tranmere Rovers have signed attacking midfielder Elliot Osborne on a month`s loan from Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town.
Originally a trainee with Port Vale, Osborne was signed by Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Nantwich Town in the 2014/15 season and went on to win the young player of the year award for that season.
Last season, the 20-year-old went on to score 22 goals in all competitions for the Dabbers, including a dozen from the penalty spot.
His form alerted a number of clubs and Fleetwood beat others to secure his signature in June.
He is available for Tranmere’s next fixture against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
Interim manager Paul Carden said: “With the recent injuries we have suffered, suspension to Jeff Hughes and Lois Maynard’s upcoming international duty with St Kitts & Nevis, we felt it necessary to strengthen our midfield options.
“Elliot is a player we have watched closely and will bring good quality to the squad. I’d like to thank Uwe Rosler and Fleetwood Town for allowing him to join us.”
