James Rowe was glad to see his Chesterfield side’s response following recent defeats.

The Spireites have been one of the standout teams in the National League following Rowe’s appointment in late-November.

Town have had the play-offs in their sights of late, though consecutive defeats to Maidenhead United and Sutton United had punctured the progress.

They came back roaring at the weekend, though, with a 2-0 victory at Barnet.

Speaking in his press conference this morning, Rowe said: “I’m impressed with how quickly the group has come together.

“To come back with a win after two successive defeats is great. We now look forward to Tuesday and we’re aiming for another win.”
