Rushall Olympic have completed the signing of experienced frontman Justin Richards.
The 37-year-old has enjoyed a long career in both the professional and non-league game since coming through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion. He has served the likes of Bristol Rovers, Peterborough United, Port Vale and Burton Albion as well as Sutton Coldfield Town, Stourbridge and Tamworth locally.
“I am really excited to have Justin on board,” said manager Liam McDonald. “He is just what we need.
“He’s big, strong, mobile and has plenty of experience. He is the best locally at what he brings to the table and has all the attributes that we need.
“What’s more, his presence will help in the development of the likes of Lewis Archer and Danny Waldron.”
Talking of Waldron, the highly-rated striker is now back from holiday and under contract at Dales Lane for the campaign ahead.
“It’s no secret of how highly I rate Danny,” added McDonald. “He’s made fantastic progress since I have been at the club and I have high hopes that he can continue to push on and do well for himself and the club.
“Obviously having someone of Justin’s experience alongside him will also benefit his game.”
