Rushall Olympic have pulled off something of a coup with the signing of Ashley Sammons on a one-year deal.

The talented midfielder began his career with Birmingham City, where he progressed through the ranks to make his senior debut in 2009.

A goalscorer from the middle of the park, he has also served the likes of Hereford United, Redditch United, Hednesford Town and more recently Solihull Moors, where he appeared in The National League.

“Ash is a great addition to the squad,” beamed manager Liam McDonald. “He has proved over the years that he can get goals from midfield and has so much technical ability.

“He is a leader and will add plenty of quality to the team. I am delighted to be working with him again.”

Sammons added: “I am glad to be back working under the Gaffer. He knows how to get the best out of me and I know that I will really enjoy my football here.

“I am looking forward to being part of things.”
