Stuart Wardley cannot wait to see what new Joe Maybanks will add to his Saffron Walden side after signing the former Braintree Town striker.
At 20, Maybanks may be tender in years, but he has 23 National League games for Braintree under his belt as well as playing in their FA Cup tie at Millwall last year.
Having left for Bishops Stortford in the summer, he has now signed for Thurlow Nunn Premier side Warden and made his debut as a sub in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Ipswich Wanderers.
“Joe’s played at a decent level against some decent teams, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can bring to us,” said Wardley. “There’s no doubting he’s a good player and I’m sure he will prove to be a good signing for us.”
