St Albans City have completed the signing of experienced striker Jamie Cureton following his departure from National League side Eastleigh.

After starting his career at Norwich City, he went on to play for clubs such as Bristol Rovers, Reading and Queens Park Rangers. Cureton’s last Football League club was Dagenham and Redbridge last season where he went on to make 45 appearances. Jamie has an impressive football CV with over 700 appearances to go with his 300+ career goals.

Saints manager Ian Allinson was delighted with Jamie’s arrival “Jamie has always been a goalscorer and when he became available I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted to bring him to Clarence Park and strengthen the squad as we go into a busy period, we have had to beat of competition from a number of different clubs to secure Jamie’s signature, I would like to thank the owners for backing me with this deal”

Cureton goes straight in to the squad to face Margate tomorrow afternoon.
