St Albans City defender Ben Herd has signed a new one year deal for the 2017/18 season.

The popular defender made 42 appearances last season scoring one goal away at Concord Rangers which was selected for the 2016/17 Non League Challenge.

Speaking this morning Manager Ian Allinson was pleased with the news “ I’m really pleased Ben has committed to the club for another year, as a local lad I know he really enjoyed his time here last season, his experience will yet again be vital with some of the younger players we have coming through.”

The club is also pleased to announce the signing of Percy Kiangebeni who joins us from Enfield Town, Percy is a powerful defender who made 33 appearances for the Town last season.

Ian Allinson said the following on Percy’s arrival “ We have been monitoring Percy for a while now and we have been extremely impressed in what we have seen towards the end of the season, again he is a good age for us and I know a number of clubs were vying for his signature so I’m pleased we managed to get this across the line.”
