Dagenham & Redbridge have announced that striker Christian Assombalonga has joined National League South side St Albans City on a one-month loan deal.

Twenty-six-year-old Assombalonga scored 31 times in thirty-four games for Ryman League Division One North outfit Waltham Abbey during the 2015/6 season.

That drew the attention of a number of clubs but he put pen-to-paper and signed for the Daggers on a two-year deal in June 2016.

He will hope to follow his Brother Britt’s rise from non-League football to Championship level with Nottingham Forest.

He moves to Clarence Park having recently finished a similar spell with the Saints` league rivals Whitehawk.
