Salford City have announced that Carlo Nash is the club’s new goalkeeping coach.
The 44-year-old former Manchester City keeper was a teammate of Ammies boss Graham Alexander at Preston North End in the Championship. Nash was most known as an understudy in his playing career, but was regarded as one of the Championship’s top goalkeepers during his time at North End.
He has represented the likes of Crystal Palace, Stoke City and Everton, and was previously goalkeeping coach at Oldham Athletic.
Nash replaces the outgoing Craig Dootson, who had proved an immensely popular figure in over three years at the club.
