Salford City have signed Hartlepool United forward Devante Rodney.

Rodney, who turned 20 last month, joins up with Graham Alexander’s team on a two-year contract. The Manchester native spent six years in Manchester City’s academy set-up, before moving to Sheffield Wednesday.
He spent four years with the Owls, leaving for Hartlepool in January 2017 before he had made a first-appearance. His brace for Pools against Doncaster Rovers on the final day of that season were not enough to save them from relegation to the Vanarama National League.
