Former Maidstone striker Delano Sam-Yorke has announced his retirement, aged just 30.
The forward was a free agent after leaving Dartford and wrote on Twitter: “Time to hang up the boots. #DSY signing out.”
He’s the second ex-United player to retire in a matter of weeks, following Stuart Lewis’ decision to hang up his boots.
Sam-Yorke was a big hit with Stones fans during a loan spell from Woking in 2017, his arrival coinciding with the club’s surge towards National League safety.
