Yeovil Town overcame AFC Fylde at Huish Park on Saturday to continue Darren Sarll’s excellent start to life as Glovers boss.
First-half goals from Rhys Murphy and Myles Hippolyte alongside a debut goal from substitute Jimmy Smith secured the green and whites all three points.
Sitting top of the form table for the last six games and now up to fourth in the National League, Town’s boss told YTTV:
“When I woke up this morning all I wanted to do was win the game, whether it’s pretty, nice, entertaining or not, I don’t care I just want to win.
“I absolutely love winning games, sometimes if your individual or the team’s performance isn’t great you lose the joy of winning the game, but you should never lose the joy of winning.
“After the final whistle, you saw 20 players out of the 22 slumped.”
