Former Sheffield FC and Matlock Town boss Mark Hume is Steve Kittrick’s new number two at EVO-STIK League Scarborough Athletic.

The 39-year-old was named on Thursday as the successor to Chris Bolder at the Flamingo Land Stadium after he left the EVO-STIK League North club this week to take the reins at North Ferriby United.

Hume served as assistant manager at Bradford Park Avenue for four-and-a-half years before kicking off his managerial career with Matlock Town in January 2015, staying with the Gladiators for 18 months before his appointment at Sheffield FC in May 2017. After leaving the world’s oldest club in September, the former defender is looking forward to being back on the touchline alongside Kittrick on Saturday for the visit of Atherton Collieries.
