Weston-Super-Mare left-back Jake Llewellyn has joined Southern League South and West outfit Taunton Town on a one-month loan.

After a strong debut season, where the academy graduate nailed down a starting spot, Llewellyn’s 2015/16 campaign has been blighted by injury.

And after spending several months on the sidelines, the club has now arranged for Llewellyn to spend a month at The Viridor Stadium to build up his match fitness ahead of a jam-packed run-in to the end of campaign.

Weston boss Ryan Northmore commented “Jake has joined Taunton Town on loan for a month. He is a fantastic player but this season has been somewhat of a non-starter for him.

“He needs regular games to get fit and then we can see where we are further into the season”, said Northmore.

The manager added: “Jake moving to Taunton does open up a spot for a more attacking player to come into the squad. We can’t run with just two strikers so we need to address that situation within the clubs financial constraints.”
