Braintree Town chairman Lee Harding has been giving his reaction to the news of the two-week suspension for the National League North and South.
Confirmation was given this afternoon by the league, following meetings with clubs earlier this week over financial support and options to continue the campaign.
With Braintree’s season now on hold in the South, Harding has said: “I’m not sure what suspending the division for 14 days achieves. I think we either stop the season now or continue.
“Now we’re in limbo for a fortnight. I am aware that two or three clubs had decided not to play, but we were looking forward to welcoming our friends from Bath tomorrow.
“It is likely that Bath will now have to make the journey midweek.”
