Jack Paxman is determined to make the most of his Maidstone reprieve.
Paxman, 24, expected to be released after an up-and-down season but instead was offered a new deal.

He said: “Jay rang me the same day he spoke to Prez, Ando and Delano and obviously they were all told they weren’t being kept on. I saw my phone ringing and I was thinking ‘here we go’.
“I was fully prepared for it and I’d got myself ready to say ‘OK, fair enough’ but the chat was completely different.”
