Vill Powell and his touchline team are looking forward to guiding Brighouse Town in the EVO-STIK League next season after a successful first term in charge.

The former Sheffield Wednesday striker and his staff will be at the helm for the 2018-19 campaign after chairman Charles Tolley told the media their future at St Giles Road was never in doubt before their 3-2 win over Ramsbottom United on Monday night, the club’s final home game of the season in EVO-STIK League North before heading to Droylsden on the last day.

Speaking to the Brighouse Echo since Powell secured the club’s status in the Northern Premier League last week with a big victory over Clitheroe, Tolley said: “Vill has done a remarkable job after being left with just five of last season’s successful squad to form the foundations of a squad.

“He is a top qualified coach with excellent man management skills and has certainly brought players in over the season who will form a solid backbone to other targets he has already marked down to come to the club.”
