Litherland REMYCA have a vacancy for a Club Secretary with immediate effect.
The vacancy has arisen due to previous Secretary Dave Evans having other committments, and is a strategically important post to the club.
This is a vital post to any football club and is one that is time consuming, but ultimately rewarding.
Working alongside the Chairman, First Team Coaches and the Remyca Management Structure you will be a focal point of the club’s activity.
Responsibilities of Club Secretary:
•Official contact between Club, County FA, Leagues and other clubs
•Working closely with the club’s appointed officers in ensuring the smooth running of the club’s football teams
•Ensure club affiliation and league membership
•Ensure effective correspondence and communication
•Match Day duties to support team and officials
•Pre match arrangements with opposition and officials
•Handling player and club discipline reports
•Attending League AGM’s
•Dealing with correspondence
This is a voluntary unpaid position, although travel expenses will be covered by the club. Applicants must be able to attend all home and away games and all club and league meetings when required.
Ideally, interested parties should be experienced in football administration and have an awareness of requirements set down by the FA. If not, training can be given, and you will need access to spare time and a patient partner! In return you will have access to the world of football, football administration and highs and lows that our wonderful sport at this semi-professional level can give you.
