Drew Talbot’s Chesterfield exile lasted just five weeks before Martin Allen brought him back to the Proact.
The experienced defender was one of three veterans released in the lead up to Allen’s appointment as Spireites boss. But Allen revealed today that after a chat with someone he trusts in the game, he has agreed a deal for Talbot to return.
“We’ve signed Drew Talbot ona one-year contract,” he told the Derbyshire Times. “I know a couple of people in football that I trust, up here.
“One of them said to me you’ve made an error by letting him go. I told that person that I didn’t let them go, it was decided before I was here and he said to me he’s a good player, a good character, he can play in different positions and you will love him Martin.”
