Former Wrexham winger Dominic Vose says he isn’t feeling sentimental about his return to the Racecourse on Sunday.

The Chester FC winger returns for the first time since leaving for Scunthorpe United in February 2016 when the Blues make the short journey down the A483 for Sunday’s cross-border derby. Vose signed a short-term deal with Chester last month and who is playing for expenses only, was popular with the Dragons fans during his time at Wrexham, scoring what was voted the greatest goal ever scored at the Racecourse, when against Gateshead in 2015, he went on a mazy dribble and fine finish.

But there is no emotional return for the 24-year-old who is focused on doing a job in a blue and white shirt come Sunday lunch time report the Chester Chronicle.

Said Vose: “I enjoyed Wrexham, I really enjoyed my time there.

“It is a good game to play in, back at the Racecourse. I will see some old faces, but from a football perspective we have got to go there and get a result, regardless of me.”
