Macclesfield Town have announced that winger Jack Mackreth has signed for EFL League One side Bury for an undisclosed fee on an eighteen-month contract.

Twenty-four-year-old Mackreth re-joined the Silkmen in the summer after leaving Tranmere Rovers and made twenty-six appearances during the first half of the season, scoring one goal.

He produced a man of the match performance in the Emirates FA Cup draw with Oxford United in front of the BBC cameras and has continued to catch the eye for John Askey’s men.

In total Mackreth made 115 appearances across his two spells with the Silkmen, scoring 8 goals, and he will now look to make an impression in the EFL.
