Shawbury United have secured the signing of George Burslem from Eccleshall.
Burslem joins from North West Counties Division One South side Ecceshall to link up with United after moving house to live in the Shawbury area. The forward started out at Chasetown before moving to Eccleshall, and the 24-year-old can’t wait to get started.
“I am excited to get stuck in and add some experience to an already technically gifted side. I will be looking to add some goals to a defensively solid side and I can’t wait to be part of a growing, ambitious club.
“I am very happy to be on board.”
Manager Declan Allen said of his new recruit: “George approached us to come training after recently moving into the area and we liked what we saw. He is a bit different from the other forwards we have, so he will add an extra dimension to our play.
“He has been playing at Step 6 so he will add a bit more experience to the group at this level, which can only benefit us.”
