Sheffield FC have announced their new first-team management line-up.

The club has decided to keep faith with the team that finished the last season on a high, with former player/assistant manager Gavin Smith stepping up to take the position of manager. Smith had an illustrious career being on the books of Sheffield Wednesday, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End, and plying his trade at Gainsborough Trinity, Bradford Park Avenue and Worksop Town before joining Sheffield as player and latterly as assistant manager to Chris Dolby 2008 – 2010.

He will be assisted by Russ Eagle who has many years’ experience in management in the local area; Eagle will also take charge of the U18 Sunday squad and midweek Under 19s.

Former player Kirk Jackson has been recruited as 1st team coach. Chris Dolby takes the role of Director of Football.

John Williams has agreed to take on the position of Head of Player Development.
