Following the receipt of a seven day notice from an Evo-Stik Premier Division club, Marine AFC have announced that defender James Short has committed his future to the Mariners, signing a contract which will keep him at the MTA to the end of the 2017-18 season.
James, 22, has made 108 appearances for the Mariners since making his debut in August 2014 and is a key member of Manager Sean Hessey’s team.
In other squad news the club confirm that midfielder MJ Monaghan and defender Josh Brizell have left the club.
In both cases this was at the player’s request and is not linked to their disciplinary record.
