Lincoln City have signed former Premier League striker Theo Robinson on a month-to-month contract.

The ex-Derby County and Watford forward, who has been training with the Imps for the last two weeks, was named on the bench for today’s draw at Bromley.

The 27-year-old Jamaican international started his career in the Stoke City academy before moving to Watford in 2006, where he made his League bow.

Loan spells with Wealdstone, Hereford United and Southend United followed before he joined Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2009.

He made forty-five appearances for the Terriers and then in September 2010, returned south to sign for Millwall, where he had been on loan the previous season.

But his stay at the New Den was a brief one and he moved to Derby County, initially on loan in February 2011 and then permanently.

He played sixty-seven times for the Rams and netted 18 times before going on to have spells with Doncaster, Motherwell and Port Vale, from where he was released at the end of last season.
