Having announced the signing of Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Luke Howell, Aldershot have added two more players to their squad.
Ex-Ebbsfleet United and Wycombe Wanderers right-back Marvin McCoy is the first of these. The 29-year-old has previously worked with boss Gary Waddock at Wycombe, and he is an international for Antigua and Barbuda.
McCoy told the club’s website: “He’s a good manager, and I’ve played under him before, so it was a no-brainer for me. He plays a good style of football and he’s a good man-manager – you know where you stand with him, and you know how he wants you to play.
“I’m quick, I get forward, I’m a good crosser of the ball but I’m also a good defender. Hopefully I can show the fans what I can do and put some good performances in.
Also signing for last season’s Vanarama National League play-off participants is defender Josh Lelan from Crawley Town. The 23-year-old from Derbyshire, who can play at right-back and centre-back, made 33 appearances for Crawley in 2017/18.
Lelan also won the League Two title at Northampton Town in the 2015/16 campaign. These signings further bolster an Aldershot side who could be a strong choice for free bet offers when it comes to backing a team for promotion into the EFL this coming season.
