Colin Gordon has revealed that the Kidderminster Harriers squad have been kept apart in the wake of the defeat to Tranmere Rovers due to a sickness bug in the camp.
The reds were missing a number of players against the Prenton Park outfit and to prevent
the problem worsening, the squad have been told to stay away.
Ben Whitfield and Gurjit Singh were missing from the squad on Monday; Lewis Kinsella played while feeling unwell – youngster Nathan Millichamp is also out of action.
It’s hoped that a couple of days’ break from one another with help solve the issue.
“We’ve given them all a couple of days off because we want to get the sickness bug out of the camp, so it doesn’t mix and run through us,” Colin said.
“Obviously Ben was a big loss on Monday and we have Nathan Millichamp [out as well].
“Lewis Kinsella played with it and you could tell that he was a big off it and leggy.
“Singhy is really struggling as well, so we’re hoping it is going to clear up.
“We wanted them in on Wednesday to do some work with them but we need them out of the way and hopefully we can contain it.”
