Injured Harrogate Town striker Mark Beck could return to training before the end of April.

The 26-year-old has not played in more than two months due to a troublesome hamstring issue.

And, while it remains to be seen whether any more football will take place this season because of a nationwide suspension of the game in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the towering frontman has at last been handed a firm prognosis regarding his recovery.

Initially sidelined in late November, Beck made two appearances from the substitutes’ bench around the turn of year, only to then break down again in training eight weeks ago.

His progress since that set-back has been slow, prompting the club to send him for additional tests.
