Bromley are close to re-discovering their early season form which made them promotion contenders despite a 1-0 defeat at Stockport County according to Neil Smith.

Liam Hogan’s 58th-minute strike at Edgeley Park gave the home side their first win of 2020, and an unlikely win considering the Ravens’ dominance.

Defeat was Bromley’s fourth in their previous five fixtures, although according to Smith the quality showcased in defeat was clear to see.

“It’s another game where their goalkeeper gets man of the match,” he said.

“It sums it up, he was outstanding.

“I can’t fault the players for not creating chances, they’ve created plenty but he’s just kept the ball out.”
