As pre-season continues, Macclesfield Town fans will see their second game at the Moss Rose stadium in four days, as they welcome League One opposition in the form of Bury tonight.
After the star-studded Derby County line-up, assistant manager Steve Watson believes that they will face a strong Bury line-up.
Steve said: “They’ve been really strong through the summer, they’ve made some good signings. They’ve lost arguably their main threat in James Vaughan, but they’ve made some great signings with Jermaine Beckford who’s arrived and I know Lee (Clark) and how important he takes these games so he’ll be sending a good side out, and we’ll be doing the same.
After the likes of Koby Arthur, and goalkeeper Alex Gogic put in impressive performances as they pulled on the Macclesfield shirt for the first time on Saturday we asked Steve if we were likely to see some more trialists on show this evening.
He said: “I don’t think they’ll be many more (trialists) being thrown into it, so I think it will be pretty much the bodies that you’ve seen albeit in different positions, systems and starting line-up. Maybe by next Saturday we’ll have three or four more we can have a look at.”
