Macclesfield Town have announced the appointment of Rob Heys as their new General Manager.
Rob, who has 15 years of experience in a similar role at League Two side Accrington Stanley, will now oversee off the field matters at the Moss Rose, coordinating the office staff behind the scenes at the Football Club.
During his time with Accrington, Rob helped in the transition from part-time non-league football to an established Football League side.
Rob told mtfc.co.uk: “I am really excited about joining Macclesfield Town, there is a fantastic team here behind the scenes, and a lot of dedicated people who give up their time to help out.
“The stadium has some really good facilities, and there is a fan base that is clearly passionate about the Football Club.
“It is a great starting point to come into, and I am looking forward to getting stuck in and playing my part in keeping things moving forward.
“I’ll be working hard to make sure that we are as visible as possible in the local area, developing even closer links with supporters, businesses, and all in the community.”
Club Chairman Mark Blower is hopeful that the arrival of Rob can help to continue the progression that the Football Club has made over the past few seasons.
He said: “Rob brings a lot of experience from the football world at a Club of a similar size. I am sure he will bring in some fresh ideas that can help improve the experience for supporters on a matchday but also help us become more involved with the town and the surrounding areas.
“It is great to have Rob on board to support me, but importantly him and his team are there to help provide fans with the service and match experience they are looking for. “
