Macclesfield Town have completed the loan signing of Nottingham Forest forward James Thorne.
The 21-year-old joins on an initial one month loan after impressing in the development squad of the Championship side.
Thorne has actually previously been with the Silkmen having joined on non-contract terms during the 2014/15 season. He didn’t feature for Macc but was named on the bench for John Askey’s side.
After leaving Macclesfield, the former Manchester City youngster made a switch to Nottingham Forest and has been a regular in their development side since.
He made his full debut earlier this season in an EFL Cup victory over Millwall and will now look to get regular minutes for the Silkmen.
Thorne will wear the number 33 shirt during his time at the Moss Rose and is eligible to make his debut in tomorrow’s Buildbase FA Trophy Quarter Final at Dulwich Hamlet.
