Macclesfield Town have announced the loan signing of winger Rhys Browne from League Two side Grimsby Town.
The 21-year-old has agreed a deal with the Silkmen that will keep him at the Moss Rose for the remainder of the 2016/17 season.
A former youth player with Norwich City, Browne had a spell with Charlton Athletic before joining Aldershot Town in the summer of 2015.
The winger certainly caught the eye during his time with the Shots, scoring 6 goals in thirty-seven league games.
His form saw him attract interest from the Football League and last summer the Antigua & Barbuda international made the switch to Grimsby for an undisclosed fee.
Unfortunately, Browne has been limited to eight substitute appearances for the Mariners this term and he will now look to get some regular minutes in John Askey’s side.
Browne could make his Silkmen debut in Saturday’s Buildbase FA Trophy tie with AFC Sudbury.
