Continuing a week of reunions with the club, young midfielder Adam Weston has completed his return to Skelmersdale United.
Weston, who made a single appearance in the senior team under Tommy Lawson in the 2016-17 season opener, spent time with Manchester United and Preston North End in his youth before the move to United.
He moved on to fellow Evo-Stik West side Widnes, with whom he won the North West Counties Division One title before spells with AFC Liverpool and most recently Northwich Victoria.
He commented: “It’s a privilege to be back at my hometown club. After first speaking with Dave and hearing his ambitions for the club I knew it was the right time for me to rejoin.
“I have also worked under Chris Stammers before so I now how good of a coach he is. I am looking forward to the season ahead and can hopefully encourage local fans to come and support the club.”
