Skelmersdale United have detailed a number of playing personnel changes that took place over the weekend around the game at Scarborough Athletic.

Scott Bakkor rejoins the club after departing NPL Premier side Warrington Town. He made a perfect start to his second spell on Saturday, scoring a penalty inside five minutes having scored four times in 32 appearances for United across the 2014-15 and 2015- 16 seasons. Bakkor has had two spells at both Warrington Town and Clitheroe and stints at Witton Albion, Colwyn Bay, Marine and Curzon Ashton.

Also returning to the club is Anthony Plant who played three times over the hectic festive period on work experience from Wigan Athletic and returns initially to cover in defence after Arnie Baxendale began his two-game suspension. A familiar face for Plant in Saturday’s lineup was young striker Mwiya Malumo, who also joins from the Latics on work experience.

Departing the club ahead of Saturday’s game was central midfielder Michael Roddy, who has moved on to Glossop North End. He left the club after making 22 appearances, scoring twice from the penalty spot including in his final appearance last week at South Shields.
