Skipper Andy Halls is hopeful that two home games in a week will give Macclesfield Town the best possible chance to build on their bright start to the National League season.
Halls returned to the Macclesfield side in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Bromley which was the third successive win for the Silkmen after victories against Solihull and Woking.
Now with John Askey’s men preparing for games against Wrexham and Eastleigh the Silkmen captain is hoping Macclesfield can continue their recent form.
He told mtfc.co.uk: “Having two games in a week means that we can build on results especially with them both being at home, and with us having such a good home record we can use that against Wrexham and Eastleigh which are two difficult games but at home we fancy ourselves against anyone.
“We want to be up there higher than fifth that’s what we’re working towards. We want to do things right every week against every team, every opposition, home and away, so if we do that I thing we will be in good stead.”
