Kwame Thomas is back in the Coventry City fold after completing a disappointing month-long loan with non-league Sutton United.

The Sky Blues striker was sent out by manager Mark Robins to get game time to bring him up to speed but the 22-year-old managed just two first team starts and one substitute appearance during his spell at Gander Green Lane where he failed to score.

Of those appearances, he played 90 minutes on just one occasion while playing 69 minutes on the only other game he started for Paul Doswell’s men.

He was handed the last 15 minutes against Wrexham in his last showing for the National League side on September 30, was an unused sub on two occasions and not included in the squad twice in his seven-game spell.

Thomas’s loan expired on Saturday, when he wasn’t included in the squad for the 2-1 home win over AFC Fylde, before returning to Coventry.
