Bromsgrove Sporting manager Paul Smith has announced via Twitter that he is to leave his role at the Total Motion Midland Football League Premier club.

The side are currently 2nd in the table but Smith has said that the club have decided not to print his programme notes for this weekend, but ‘the fans have a right to know.’ In his notes, Smith explains that he will be standing down at the end of the season and that ‘the constant back-biting and lies have got me to a point where I feel I have to give up,’ in reference to the hierarchy at the club.

Chairman Mike Burke had said that Smith inferred in October that he wanted a contract with the club but has not specified his problems with the deal put forward. Smith has said that his entire focus will be on leading the Rouslers to a second successive promotion before he leaves.
