Gregg Smith has agreed to join Gainsborough Trinity from BetVictor Northern Premier League rivals Grantham Town.
The experienced frontman has been cleared to play against his former employers on Boxing Day when Trinity take on the Gingerbreads.
Nathan Hotte has cancelled his contract with the club and leaves with immediate effect.
