Solihull Moors have confirmed the signing of Gavin Gunning on a deal until 5th January.
It comes just after Billericay announced the Irish defender had left the club. The 28-year-old was a summer signing for the National League South side, having left Forest Green Rovers.
After joining Tim Flowers’ team, Gunning told the club’s website: “I’ve came in and trained here before when I was at Birmingham just to stay fit. Obviously, it’s changed a lot with massive developments here and I’m just happy to come on board.
“I want to help the guys. I’ve got a lot of experience in the higher leagues, so hopefully I can come in here and push the lads up the league. I give everything on the pitch – aggression, leadership and we’ll see what else we can do.”
Flowers added: “We would like to welcome Gavin to club. He’s a local lad and has a very impressive CV.
“He made 30-odd starts for Forest Green last season and can play at centre-back or in midfield. He’s a big, powerful player with a good left foot.
“He beefs up our options in midfield, so we welcome him to the club on a short-term deal and hope it works out well for all parties.”
