Defender and former club captain Liam Daly has left Solihull Moors.
Daly first joined the club from Redditch United back in 2008 and would return in 2014 after a successful spell at Leamington. After a brief stint at Kidderminster Harriers, he was back for the 2017/18 season.
Wearing the armband during his time at the club, Daly has played over 250 games for Moors, though he was made available for loan or transfer two months ago, as he looked for more opportunity to play.
He leaves today with chairman Darryl Eales commenting: “Liam is iconic at Moors, both on and off the pitch. He is a talisman and epitomises the progression of Solihull Moors over the past three seasons.
“I’m delighted that we have agreed to stage a testimonial for Liam at the end of this season, and I’m sure Liam will be part of the Moors family for a long time to come.”
