Manager Nikki Bull has promised to “shake the tree” at Leatherhead – admitting some of his current squad are getting “above their station”.

The Tanners boss was disappointed by the way his team played in their FA Trophy game against local rivals Dorking Wanderers on Saturday (November 23), which they lost 3-0.

Leatherhead went behind in the 19th minute but were still in the game until the 74th minute when Wanderers scored twice in quick succession to win the derby – which has been nicknamed El Clasimole.

And while the Tanners had a couple of good goal-scoring opportunities at 1-0, Bull was far from happy at the final whistle and hoped the game would serve as a “reality check” for members of his squad starting to believe their own hype.
