Admission prices for Wednesday’s friendly between South Shields and Hebburn Town have been reduced after South Shields took on board feedback from supporters.

Entry for the game, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will now cost £6 for adults, £4 for students and over-65s, and £2 for under-16s.

All supporters who pre-bought tickets for the match prior to the price change will have a portion of their payment reimbursed. Shields have asked that fans contact the club to organise a refund.

Admission had originally been set at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £3 for under-16s – the ticket prices for league games at Mariners Park in the 2018-19 season. The club has apologised if supporters feel it made an error with those prices and hope the change goes some way to rectifying that.

The club had set pre-season ticket prices to reflect its planned opponents. Shields say that as ever, every penny generated throughout pre-season will be reinvested into the club and the SSFC Foundation.
