Southend United have announced the signing of Abu Ogogo.
The midfield man joins the Shrimpers on a one-year contract after leaving Bristol Rovers.
The 31-year-old spent time on loan with his former club Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League last season.
On signing him ahead of next season, Southend manager Phil Brown told the club’s website:
“I think the best word to use for Abu is pedigree. I have watched and admired him for a long time.
“He’s not a master technician, he’s more of a conduit in midfield to help others play the beautiful game.”
