Southport have announced the appointment of Richard Boryszczuk as Chief Scout.

Boryszczuk has spent the last four-and-a-half years as Chief Scout for Boston United, with 6th, 3rd & 5th place finishes in that time, and therefore has extensive knowledge of non-league football and players, as well as the levels above and into the Football League.

He has played a significant part in player recruitment and identifying a number of players who have seen incredible success at this level, and gone on to secure lucrative moves to the Football League.

Boryszczuk said “I am delighted to be joining Southport Football Club during what are clearly exciting times. I leave Boston United with a heavy heart, and had some great times there under Dennis Greene. The opportunity given to me to work with Kevin Davies and John Dreyer is one I cannot turn down, as I look to progress my career and help the club get back to where it belongs.”
