Young Bury forward Jordan Archer has joined Southport on a development loan until January.
Archer signed for the Shakers over the summer after scoring 26 goals in 63 appearances for Chester and Stourbridge.
Earlier this season, he spent a short period on loan with Maidenhead United, gaining valuable experience in the National Conference.
Lee Dykes, Bury’s Sporting Director, explained the move: “Southport have shown a huge amount of interest in working with us to aid our player development pathway and we have been impressed with their plans to help us in this area.
“With strong competition for places in the striker positions in Maynard, Telford, Moore, Dagnall, Lavery and Omotayo, we felt it was best again for Jordan to go and gain more game time and develop further. He’s closer to home this time, which allows him to be part of our first team training environment on a weekly basis.”
